Major Scales and Minor

If you play piano you must know how to play scales it is the basic understanding of all piano music.

A scale is  a group of notes witch are the foundations of all diffrent pices of music. Its is a structure to build all melodies

Synthesia is AWESOME

Synthesia is a grate tool for beginner pianists I'd doesn't teach you how to read music but it dose help you built up speed in your fingers. It is classed as a video game but an educational one to help you along the road of musical awesomeness.

It play a lot like guitar hero but instead of pretend chords it uses real piano chords. You can also play all of your favourite songs if you can get old of the MIDI file.

Brandon's top 5 tips for beginners

Here are some tips for beginners.

.Set a practice schedule 60 minutes a day is sufficient
.During practise sessions eliminate all distractions like T.V, radio and video games.
.If you are a complete beginner maybe get some lessons or if not a DVD.
.Once you have learned scales keep on doing them for speed build up and finger strength.
.Have regular brakes when playing.

One finger per key rule

Well it's pretty self explanatory really one finger per key but start with your thumb. Remember kids thumb is number one ..

Piano Notes

It is very easy to play piano chords just remember these numbers 1.5.8 say if you wanted to do a C chord you start from C and count up 5 witch is E count up 3 and you get to G. CEG make the C chord C major Triad.

it is easy to learn the notes because after a while it cycles around from C toD and all of the black keys are flats and sharps.

Piano Posture

This Diagram shows the wrong and the right posture to play Piano. Your back needs to be straight and your feet need to be stable on the ground. You need to be sat half on the seat and half off your neck should be straight. your body must be held up like a puppet.

if you don't follow these rules you are more likely to have back problems or neck problems.
